A new disc golf course is coming to the city of Jackson.
Starting October 5th, players can hit the new 18-hole course in the southwest section of Ella Sharp Park along W. Hickory Avenue.
The course is free and was designed to be used by players of all skill levels.
Parks and Recreation Director Kelli Hoover says a dis golf course has been part of the park's plan for several years, saying "we are excited to finally provide this new recreational opportunity to people in the area...It's a great partnership that benefits the Jackson community and beyond."
The unveiling of the course will be during a ribbon cutting Friday October 5th at 10:30am.
