MASON, Mich. — U.S. 127 was the scene of a rollover accident that closed down the roadway for several hours Sunday night.
The accident, involving a personal vehicle and an attached camper, occurred on U.S. 127 near the South Street exit in Mason.
It happened around 7:45 p.m., on Sunday, when the vehicle traveling northbound ran off the road into a wooded area just off the highway and rolled over.
As late as 10:30 p.m., on Sunday, crews were working to clean up the accident.
At least one person was taken from the scene by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities began closing off the northbound lanes of U.S. 127 just minutes after the accident.
The highway was reopened around 2 a.m. Sunday.
