Dean Strampel, the former Dean of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University, is back in court Tuesday for the start of his preliminary exam.
A judge will decide if there's enough evidence to put him on trial for neglect of duty, misconduct in office and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors say he used his position to sexually assault, harass and proposition female students.
Stampel is the former boss of former doctor Larry Nassar.
A complaint was filed in May by the Michigan Attorney General's office accusing Strampel of violating public health codes through his actions toward female students and his failure to supervise Nassar.
The complaint also accuses Strampel of making inappropriate sexual comments to female students, storing nude photos of MSU students on his work computer, and failing to enforce protocols intended to protect female patients following sexual abuse allegations made against Nassar.
