NAPOLEON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Napoleon Township Police Department have announced that they were able to raise more money than their $15,000 fundraising goal.
The department was exceeded their goal thanks to the Starcom Racing Team, Landon Cassill, a professional stock car racing driver and several other local businesses.
The money was needed so the department could purchase new body cameras and in-car cameras.
A GOfundme page link had been placed on the back of a Nascar race car in order to bring more attention to the fundraiser.
The car raced at the Firekeeper's Casino 400 at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.
