It was a busy night for Lansing Police. A man was murdered on Lansing's Southwest side, and Lansing Police are on the hunt for the suspects in a string of armed robberies all over the city.
Investigators are working to try and catch a killer. Officers have been on the scene most of the morning investigating the city's latest murder.
A man was found in a car just before 10 p.m. Monday in the 4300 block of Chadburne Drive, off Waverly Road.
Police tell FOX 47, the man had been shot and that the car he was in crashed. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say the victim was not from the Lansing area.
A couple of hours before the shooting, police say there was an armed robbery of a business in the 5200 block of South Cedar Street in Lansing.
They say the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money. No one was hurt.
That robbery happened at 7:56 p.m. Monday night.
About a half hour later, a delivery driver was robbed in the 3900 block of Burneway, also on Lansing's Southwest side.
Police tell us the suspect was armed with a weapon and demanded money.
The delivery driver was not hurt. Police are not sure if the two robberies are connected.
Lansing Police are also investigating two more armed robberies Monday night. Both happened at party stores on Grand River.
Around 10:30 p.m., police tell us 3 males armed with guns walked into Mary's Party Store and demanded the clerk hand over some cash.
The suspects fled the store after getting the money. No one was hurt.
A canine unit was not able to track the suspects.
Twenty minutes later, 3 robbers held up the Airport Party Store on North Grand River.
Police say 3 suspects entered the store again with guns and got some money. No one in the store was hurt.
Police brought out the dogs again to try and track the suspects, but had no luck picking up a scent.
Lansing Police tell us they are not sure if any of the armed robberies are connected, although it is possible.
