Mt. Hope Ave. closures to begin Thursday

LANSING, Mich. — 
Mt. Hope Avenue from Aurelius Road to the east city limits will be closed for construction starting on Thursday, August 8.

The closure is expected to last 2-3 weeks and will include both eastbound and westbound directions.

The westbound detour will be: head south on Harrison Road to Forest Road, go west on Forest Road to Aurelius Road, and then head north on Aurelius Road to get back onto Mt. Hope Avenue.

The eastbound detour will be: head south on Aurelius Road to Forest Road, then east on Forest Road to Harrison Road, and then go north on Harrison Road to get back onto Mt. Hope Avenue.

Access to local business and homes will remain open.

Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes.
