EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State University was one of the few institutions that did not close its doors Monday.

The school put out a notice on its website saying that they have been carefully watching the weather and forecasts for this week and classes are expected to continue through Tuesday.

Students tell us they had a hard time just getting to classes.

"Getting here on a bike was almost impossible, I'm just walking it now because even the sidewalks are so snow I'm slipping all around" said MSU Freshman Aldo Buttazzoni. "I fell twice on my way here, I definitely think they should have cancelled today, obviously I'm biased because I'm a student."

The school says if a decision is made to cancel classes, a message will be put up on their website and a message sent through the MSU Alert System. By Jordan McGowen
