MSU requests "stay" for new and future Nassar lawsuits

Michigan State has requested a "stay" of all new and future lawsuits related to the Larry Nassar scandal.

In a court filing Friday, attorneys for MSU say a "several months stay" will give them time to fund the settlement, assess new claims, and discuss the settlement with plaintiffs.

51 new lawsuits have been filed since MSU reached a $500-million settlement with Nassar survivors in may. $75-million of that was set aside to fund future lawsuits.
