MSU Federal Credit Union announced a merger with Clarkston Brandon Community Credit Union effective yesterday.
Clarkston Brandon Community Credit Union was put into oversight by the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services on January 13.
Less than three months ago, Chief Financial Officer Michael Anthony LaJoice was charged with embezzling about 20 million dollars from Clarkston Brandon over a 12 year span.
The Metro Detroit based Credit Union has 8,500 members.
MSU FCU members will now be able to use branch locations in Clarkston and Ortonville, and have access to three new ATM's in the area.
