MSU has closed its investigation into misconduct allegations involving the former executive director of the MSU Alumni Association.

MSU spokesperson Emily Guerrant says while the investigation did determine Scott Westerman violated university policy, no disciplinary action will be taken as he is no longer employed by MSU.

Guerrant went on to say students, faculty and staff are encouraged to report any incidents and that the university is committed to thoroughly investigating all complaints to create a safer, healthier and more respectful campus community.

An investigation into misconduct allegations began in February after a complaint was sent to MSU's Office of Institutional Equity. Westerman left MSU in May, saying in a statement that the timing of his resignation had nothing to do with the investigation. Westerman said he and his family had been planning on moving to Florida for sometime.
