LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State football athletic trainer David Jager is back in court Monday, Sept. 9, as a part of his on-going pretrial conference.
Jager is accused of attempted sexual assault, domestic violence and lying to a police officer, court records show.
At his preliminary hearing on Aug. 27 Jager's lawyer, Mary Chartier, said her client would not be entering a plea deal.
Jager is accused of assaulting his girlfriend at Spartan Stadium in August 2015 and lying about it.
Jager is also charged with attempting to sexually assault a different woman after a night at Tequila Cowboy Bar in Lansing back in February of 2016.
Attorney General Dana Nessel also named Jager as one of 11 people who had knowledge of Nassar's abuse.
He has worked at the university as an athletic trainer since 2013 with the football and tennis teams.
MSU spokeswoman Emily Guerrant said on Thursday evening that Jager is still employed by the university, but has been on paid administrative leave since March 2018, according to the Lansing State Journal.
