The Michigan State Police Training Division and Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice is hosting homicide scene preservation and investigation training for law enforcement officers across the state Wednesday.
The training provides officers with knowledge and hands-on experience in preserving and investigating different types of crime scenes.
Officers will also participate in mock crime scene scenarios to practice their skills in crime scene preservation, evidence collection, homicide investigation and media relations.
The training will take place at the Lansing Police Department Special Operations Center on Wise Road starting at 9 a.m.
