JACKSON, Mich. — The Michigan State Police (MSP) Jackson Post is pleased to announce a Citizens’ Academy, which will start Tuesday, March 26, 2019, and end on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
The six week academy will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of the MSP, understand the procedures troopers follow, increase their awareness of law enforcement’s role in the community, and get to know personnel at the Jackson Post.
The academy will meet at the Jackson Post on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Individuals who are interested in attending the Citizens’ Academy should contact Trooper Travis Fletcher of the Jackson Post at 517-930-1829 to receive an application or they can contact the Jackson Post by stopping in or calling 517-780-4580.
