MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WSYM) - Meridian Township Police were called to a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 1:45 p.m. on Green Road just south of Coleman Road.
Police say a motorcyclist was traveling north on Green Road south of south of Coleman Road when the driver approached a curb and lost control of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to Sparrow Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver is being identified as 57-year-old Douglas Hakkila from Williamston.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Hakkila was wearing a helmet.
Meridian Township Police continue to investigate the crash.
Green Road was closed down for a couple hours while police investigated the crash.
