A motorcyclist was killed Thursday in southern Clinton County.
The Clinton County Sheriff says the motorcyclist, 37-year-old Robert Slocum of Potterville, was traveling westbound along Grand River Highway at around 2:30 p.m., and struck a car turning left onto Airport Road.
Slocum then crashed into a second car behind the car that was turning. Slocum was taken to Sparrow Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff says Slocum was not wearing a helmet. The drivers of the cars were not injured.
That area of Grand River Highway was closed for 6 hours while investigators examined the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
The Clinton County Sheriff Office was assisted at the scene by Delta Fire Department, DeWitt Township Police Department, Clinton County Central Dispatch, and the Clinton County Victim Support Team.
