A substitute teacher has been taken off of a school call list in Kalamazoo after a mother says the teacher physically removed her son from class.
Her son is in eighth grade at a Kalamazoo middle school and came home with bruises all over his neck.
According to the mother one of her son's classmates threw a tennis ball at the teacher.
The teacher asked him to leave the room but he refused because he was doing his work.
He says the teacher grabbed him by throat and their exchange continued into the hallway.
The part of the exchange that took place in the hallway was caught on camera.
The mom says her son retaliated with a punch.
School officials are investigating and police say the prosecutors office is reviewing the case.
