OLIVET, Mich. (WSYM) - An Eaton County mother has been arrested after multiple tests show her newborn baby was assaulted twice.
Taylor Prahl-Six of Olivet was arrested Friday after multiple tests at Sparrow Hospital show the baby had multiple brain bleeds and a possible skull fracture.
Medical staff at Sparrow Hospital believed the injuries on the baby were the results of two separate assaults.
Eaton County Sheriff’s deputies along with investigators from Michigan Department of Health and Human Services got involved on July 3 after family members brought the newborn baby to the hospital.
Detectives were able to locate evidence and information which led to charges.
Prahl-Six remains in the Eaton County Jail.
Detectives continue to investigate.
