DETROIT — Attendance at this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit was a bit better than last year.
NAIAS officials say more than 770,000 people went to the public show at the Cobo Center between Jan. 14 and Jan. 27.
The 2019 Detroit auto show had an estimated regional economic impact of $430 million.
David Sowerby, CFA and portfolio manager of Ancora, compared that scale to Detroit holding nearly two Super Bowls per year.
The annual auto show usually held in January will move to June come 2020. NAIAS says more people are expected to turn out due to the change.
