More testing needed of Flint water

Posted

A rally was held on the steps of the state capitol in Lansing on Tuesday. The People's Water Board held the rally to coincide with World Water Day.

Members say too many people either have no access to safe water or simply can't afford it and that needs to change.

Alice Jennings said, water is a human right.

"Right now believe it or not there is not a law in this country that protects each person in terms of affordability. Without water, one dies within approximately three days."

The group met with lawmakers after the rally. It's pushing for water rights bills on both the state and national level.
