Lansing's proposal to stop any new medical marijuana dispensaries from opening in the city will be up for a public hearing this week.
The city council will hold it Thursday night at five following the public safety committee meeting.
The public will be allowed to comment on the moratorium.
Supporters say it will give the city time to figure out a regulation system.
