You might be getting a package in the mail Monday, because it's the United States Postal Service's busiest delivery day of the year.
The busiest mailing day was last Monday.
The Post Office has been delivering seven days a week in an effort to get everybody's Christmas presents to them on time.
The Post Office told us last week, they've been shipping tons of packages.
"We're significantly higher with delivering and shipping packages this year than we were last year," said Sabrina Todd, Communications Specialist for the USPS Greater Michigan District. Todd said the higher numbers are explained by the number of people shopping online.
If you have packages you still need to mail, you have a couple more chances to get them to their destinations by Christmas. Monday the 21st is the deadline for shipping Priority Mail, and the 23rd is the deadline if you're shelling out for Priority Mail Express.
Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes start at $5.95 for the smallest size. Priority Mail Express flat rate boxes are considerably more, at $44.95 a box this year. If what you need to ship can fit in an envelope, you'll spend less.
