Dozens of moms spent this windy day inside the state Capitol, urging lawmakers to stand against two house bills they say are dangerous.
The bills would allow people in Michigan to carry concealed weapons in public places without a permit.
The moms say the bills would lower the bar and more people who should not carry, would be allowed to.
State Representative Peter Lucido sponsored the bill. He says the state of Michigan's current permitting system is government overreached.
