LANSING, Mich. — The shooting on Lansing's southside on March 1st is now a homicide case.
Lansing police told us 24-year-old Delayno Hudson died after being shot at the Mill Pond Village mobile home park.
Police aren't saying exactly what led to the shooting, they'll only say this was not a random act.
"I don't like the violence I have kids over all the time. It kinda sucks to have all the violence around when you do have children, and there is a lot of children that do play right around here," said Jessica Bice, a neighbor.
Police was called to Mill Pond Villiage mobile home park just before 6 PM March 1st.
When officers arrived they saw a white car crashed into another car. One victim was near the car, he died March 3rd.
"They did locate one of the victims rather closely to a white vehicle that was there, and then they found two other shooting victims in close proximity, " said Chief Mike Yankowski, Lansing Police Department.
The two others who were shot are recovering. Police told us the fourth person in the car is still missing. They're calling him or her a person of interest.
"All four of those of those subjects in the car were known to each other. This was not a random act of violence," said Yankowski.
Police are still investigating why all four were at the mobile homes and if there is relevance to the car they crashed into.
"Anytime someone loses their life especially in a senseless way of gun violence like we had here on March 1st, it's unacceptable we shouldn't tolerate that as a community either," said Yankowski.
The other two shooting victims are a 22-year-old man from Lansing and a 66-year-old man from Haslett. Both of them are expected to live.
We'll let you know when police find that person of interest.
