Viewers paid close attention as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump face off in the first presidential debate.
"Talking points, making sure she gets every word in there," says Trump supporter Joe Stiles.
"Confirming my belief of why I am not going to vote for Donald Trump," says Clinton supporter Douglas Finley.
One woman at our panel said the debate helped her go from undecided to Hillary's camp.
"I did see Hillary Clinton focus more on the issues," says Sydney Adams, who was a Bernie Sanders supporter, "was it the issues that I liked, necessarily? Was it positions I agreed with? No, but her tone was generally one of sticking to that."
But some, were not as convinced. One man said he didn't think this debate would really help anyone at the voting booth.
"I didn't see how it could have, it was just bash, bash, bash," says undecided voter Bryan Droscha.
We did get some comments wishing third party candidates could have taken the stage too.
"I think this debate should have had more people in it," says Droscha. "I still think Gary Johnson should have been in it."
There were familiar critiques: Clinton sounding rehearsed, and trump too brash and off-the-cuff.
Trump supporters tell us they want to see Clinton take more responsibility for her past.
"If she wants to take credit for the time that she was Secretary of State, then she needs to take credit for the bad things," says Trump supporter Andy Massie.
Clinton fans call the national security conversation during the debate "ridiculous."
"I think Clinton is right when she says he has a world view and lives in a bubble that is impenetrable," says Clinton supporter Carol Bourne.
No matter who they support, these voters said the night went pretty much as they expected.
Clinton and Trump square off again in the second presidential debate Sunday, October 9th in St. Louis.
