LANSING, Mich. — A mid-Michigan Christian-based charity received a makeover Thursday thanks to the Home Depot Foundation and Behr Paint Company.

The Homeless Angels Inn which used to be the Burkewood Inn got new windows and doors.

The inn, located west of downtown Lansing, is used as an emergency shelter for homeless people in the area.

More than 40 Home Depot employees were on hand to help complete the project.

The Homeless Angels organization was awarded a $22,000 grant from the Home Depot Foundation for the purchase of new windows and doors.
