LANSING, Mich. — Thursday morning the State of Michigan relocated the Lansing Unemployment Insurance Office.
Steve Gray, the Senior Deputy Director, of Michigan's Unemployment Insurance and Becky Powers, the Chief Financial Officer of Capital Area Michigan Works were in attendance as state officials cut the ribbon to commemorate the opening of the newly constructed facility.
The move is part of what the agency is calling its ongoing efforts to better meet the needs of residents who interact with the unemployment insurance system.
This new facility will allow the agency to service more customers and hopefully increase the efficiency of operations.
Lansing's office is one of 13 local offices around the state that provides in-person assistance to customers with Unemployment Insurance claims.
The new facility is located at: 5217 Perry Robinson Circle in Lansing.
