Posted

Today is National Coffee Day!

A recent survey revealed some trends consumers have regarding their coffee drinking and spending habits.

• A majority of consumers in Michigan (63%) want milk/creamer and sugar in their daily cup of joe. The remaining 37% just want milk/creamer. Black and iced coffee are not huge hits in Michigan, as no one selected those options.

• Over 76% of coffee drinkers in Michigan make their coffee at home, in order to save money. They are right on par with how the rest of America makes their coffee, as our survey showed that 66% of the nation makes their coffee at home.

• 69% of the coffee loves in Michigan said they spend anywhere from $1-$10 a week on coffee, which coincides with our nation-wide data that found Americans spend an average of $7.90 a week.
