Police say a Mount Pleasant man was arrested for stealing over $100 from a laundromat and trying to passing off counterfeit cash at the Soaring Eagle Casino.

The complaint came in around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday at a laundromat located in Isabella County's Union Township.

Witnesses helped Michigan State Police identify the suspect before notifying the Saginaw Tribal Police Department. They were told to look for the man in the Soaring Eagle Casino.

Michigan State Police say they took the 34-year-old man into custody a short time later and got a full confession.

Authorities also recovered the stolen money.

The suspect is being lodged at the Isabella County jail.
