LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Supreme Court has made decisions regarding appeals in the convictions of former Michigan State University sports doctor Larry Nassar.

On Wednesday the court issued a decision to deny Larry Nassar's appeals related his Eaton County convictions. Nassar's appeals claimed the judge Janice Cunningham showed bias during the legal process and Nassar's sentencing.

The Supreme Court also denied Nassar's appeal to be re-sentenced by a different judge in Ingham County.

There remains two appeals at the Court of Appeals level, where Nassar is claiming bias by Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Rosemary Aquilina in her ruling and sentencing.

Briefs in these appeals are due Thursday.

Larry Nassar was sentenced on sexual assault charges in Ingham County, January 24, 2018 to 40-175 years in prison. He was sentenced in Eaton County in February 5, 2018 to 40-125 years. Nassar was already serving a 60-year sentence in federal prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
