EAST LANSING, Mich. — Samuel Stanley Jr. will have a discussion on Wednesday with sexual abuse survivors.

This is the last of three meetings between the president and the victims.

Nassar survivors and other Michigan state sexual assault victims have been encouraged to meet with President Stanley to share their concerns and ideas for improvements on campus.

Along with Michigan State's president, sexual assault counselors and a mediator are taking part.

This series of meetings was something President Samuel Stanley Jr. said he wanted to have for a long time, but some survivors were a little skeptical.

One survivor says she's worried this is "Just another PR stunt."

The meeting scheduled for October 16 will be an online meeting for survivors who don't feel comfortable going to a meeting in person.

It's happening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Out of respect for the survivors, FOX 47 will not be posting the link to the meeting.

Later this fall, the results of the campus-wide climate survey conducted in Spring 2019 will be available.

The university says that feedback, together with the input from these meetings with survivors, will be reviewed by Stanley and the Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct Expert Advisory Workgroup to develop a strategic plan for sustainable culture change at MSU.
