Michigan State Police are going to try fight drug addition by not arresting people.
It's part of the nationwide Angel Program. The idea is people can go into the MSP Lansing Post to get help for their addiction without having to worry about being arrested or investigated. Trained volunteers will then take them to a treatment center.
The program will start at the Lansing Post and will gradually spread across the state.
