LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Senate Oversight Committee will meet next week to examine vote counting in Detroit.
The committee said the meeting is not related to a Trump campaign statement released one day earlier saying legislative hearings examining election results would happen. As of Thursday, the oversight committee’s meeting has not been scheduled. Testimony on ballot counting at the TCF Center in Detroit is said to be the only item on the agenda.
Michigan officially certified its election results on Monday.
