LANSING, Mich. — Michigan reported a total of 57,397 cases of COVID-19 and 5,491 deaths on Sunday.

That's up 28 deaths and 513 cases from Saturday.

The state said 38,099 have recovered from the virus. Those numbers are updated every Saturday. Recovery numbers include people who are still living 30 days out from the onset of their illness.

Starting Friday, the governor lifted restrictions on medical, dental and veterinary services.

These facilities can resume non-essential procedures.

Procedures that didn't get taken care of in the last two months, but they're ready to start routine operations.
