The kitten first chosen to be the Troy Police Department's cat before being diagnosed with feline leukemia is heading to a sanctuary dedicated to cats with the condition.
Pawfficer Badges and two of her siblings will arrive at Leuk's Landing in Ann Arbor on Friday.
Pawfficer Badges was diagnosed with feline leukemia just days before she was set to be sworn in at the Troy Police Department.
Troy police selected Pawfficer Donut as its new police cat back in May.
