An inmate from an upper peninsula jail has been captured one year later in Costa Rica.
Houghton County Sheriff Brian McLean says he's working with federal authorities to bring John Saatio back to Michigan.
Saatio was facing home invasion charges when he dashed into the woods while being escorted to the court house last year.
Police believe he stole a car and drove to Wisconsin. McLean says his office had received tips that saatio was in Costa Rica and it was just a matter of tracking him down.
