LANSING, Mich. — The Centers for Disease Control Prevention says seven children died from the flu this week, bringing the pediatric death toll for the 2018-2019 flu season to 41.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has confirmed one pediatric influenza death for the current flu season.
The MDHHS says Michigan's influenza activity remains widespread.
Since Oct. 1, there have been 51 pediatric and 280 adult influenza-related hospitalizations reported in Ingham, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, and Washtenaw counties.
