LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - Starting Sunday Michigan democrats are teaming up for a series of town halls focused on protecting health care coverage.

The Michigan Democratic Party will hold two town halls Sunday July, 16. The events are open to the public and will answer questions about how health care could change as well as how to protect current benefits.

The first is being held at 11 a.m. in Ann Arbor, the second is at 4 p.m. in Orion Township.

Meanwhile House Democrats are holding their own town halls, with that series kicking off in downtown Lansing Monday. Rep. Tom Cochran (Mason) will be leading the first meeting. It gets underway at 6:30 p.m. at the Robin Theatre on Washington Ave.
