The University of Michigan Athletic Department has announced that Michigan's spring football game on Saturday, April 14th has been canceled.

In a press release, Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel said the following:

"We want to ensure the safety of our fans as well as the student-athletes and staff. We also wanted to provide as much notice in advance for fans and the families of our players that were considering attending."

Michigan will not look for an alternate date for the game with the start of final exams on the horizon.

The Wolverines begin the fall on the road at Notre Dame on September 1st.
