Michigan business leaders are backing what Bill Schuette calls his "paycheck agenda."
The Republican candidate for governor being endorsed Wednesday by three Michigan business groups.
Schuette is promising to cut income tax rates, lower auto-insurance rates, and raise the pay of Michigan workers.
He criticized the agenda of his Democratic opponent, Gretchen Whitmer, saying it's "extreme" and a sharp turn to the left.
"It's a blueprint for tax increase, taxing everything that moves. That would be job crushing to the state of Michigan."
Outside of the event, protestors were chanting and flashing signs saying Schuette is bad for Michigan.
