Michigan Attorney General To Investigate...

Posted

State Attorney General Bill Schuette announced today he plans to investigate the Flint water crisis.

Three weeks ago, his office turned down a request for an investigation from a state representative.

Flint's NBC affiliate obtained a letter sent to Representative Sheldon Neeley by Schuette's spokesman.

It cites multiple reviews already in progress by state and federal agencies and a potential lawsuit as the reasons why the Attorney General believed it was not necessary to launch another one.

The Attorney General's office turned down our request for an interview.

We'll let you know if it decides to comment on the letter.
