There were no classes on Monday at Ionia Public Schools because of flooding over the weekend.

The superintendent says a water pipe broke sometime over the weekend at the middle school.

There was at least 5 feet of water on Monday morning.

The superintendent had to cancel classes at all schools because he said the district could not meet its attendance threshold with the middle school closed.

Clean-up is expected to take a day or two
