The Michigan High School Athletic Association asked this school year that its member schools report any concussions or possible concussions their student-athletes suffered in practice or games.
They have received preliminary data from 744 high schools in the state. The average number of concussions was 3.2 per school.
52% of reporting school said their student-athletes had two or fewer concussions this fall.
