A big celebration in Meridian Township this afternoon, the ribbon will be cut on the brand new central fire station.
Almost four years ago, Meridian Township voters gave the ok for a $3.5 million millage to build the new fire station, located off Okemos road on Central Park Drive.
Construction finally began in March 2015 and is now finished.
The new station includes separate men's and women's locker rooms, and a community room.
