Two people suspected of robbing the Medwar Jewelers in Okemos on July 10, 2017, have been arraigned on several charges relating to the incident.
Employees at the store were held at gunpoint while suspects stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry from the business. The suspects fled on a moped and then abandoned it a short distance away and ran off on foot. Several police departments conducted a search for the suspects, who were found in a heavily wooded area and taken into custody.
Nicholas Sergei Beauman, age 22, from Haslett and Cosette Jozelle Shreve, age 20, from Wixom, were arraigned on five charges at the 55th District Court on July 12, 2017 in relation to the armed robbery at Medawar Jewelers in Okemos.
Both suspects were charged with one count of Armed Robbery, two counts of Unlawful Imprisonment, one count of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Vehicle and one count of Weapons Felony Firearm-Pneumatic Gun. Both suspects are currently being held without bond at the Ingham County Jail.
