Officers are investigating a two vehicle crash with two fatalities.
A vehicle traveling northbound on Meridian Road and an eastbound vehicle on Grand River collided. Officers were dispatched to the scene just after 11:30am Thursday.
The deceased were Lawrence Merindorf, age 87 and Joyce Felton, age 86 both from Mason. They were riding in the same vehicle.
There were three other individuals in the other vehicle. At least one person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
The Department was assisted by the Ingham Regional Crash Investigation Team. The investigation of this case is ongoing.
