MICH. — Memorial Day ceremonies and events around mid-Michigan
Mason Memorial Day Parade
The parade steps off from Bond Park at approximately 9 a.m.
The parade will proceed south on Barnes Street to south side of the court, turn right on Ash, turn right on Jefferson and proceed left to State Street and stop at the Sycamore Bridge for a brief ceremony and to Maple Grove Cemetery for a short program to honor our veterans. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Elsie Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony
Staging on Pine Street just north of the Town and Tub gas station from 9:30-9:45 a.m. The parade will kick off at 9:45 a.m. going east on Pine Street for a block, then south to Main Street and then west to the memorial stone between the village hall and the bank. Anyone wanting to be in the parade needs to show up at the staging times.
The Memorial Ceremony begins at 10 a.m.
Webberville Memorial Day Parade and 5K
Registration for Webberville's Memorial Day 5K & 10K Run begins at 7 a.m. at the Webberville Elementary located at 202 N. Main Street.
The Memorial Day Veterans Parade and Ceremony will step off at 8 a.m. The parade will start at Webberville High School to the downtown memorial, where there will be a service. The service will be followed by a 5K Memorial Day Run, starting at about 9 a.m.
Williamston American Legion Memorial Day Parade
Starts at 10 a.m. on School Street in front of the Commons Building. The parade will proceed north on Putnam Street, straight through the stop light at Grand River Avenue (M-43), to the Wall of Honor in McCormick Park, where there will be a ceremony.
Jackson Memorial Day Procession and Ceremony
Starts at 10 a.m. at the corner of West Michigan Avenue and South Jackson Street in downtown Jackson. The procession route will go down South Jackson Street to Greenwood Avenue and ends at the Rockwell Street entrance to Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. The ceremony will begin there after the procession ends.
American Legion Post 269 Memorial Day Service
11 a.m. Ralya Elementary School, 5645 School St., Haslett. A cookout will follow at the post. Veterans eat for free.
Dimondale Memorial Day Parade and Barbecue
11 a.m. the parade will start at the parking lot of Carl’s and travel down Bridge Street and Jefferson Street. The parade will end at the Windsor Township Cemetery. A barbecue will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 162 North Bridge Street in Dimondale. Hamburgers and hot dogs will also be served. All meals come with chips, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and beverage. Cost: Half-chicken is $7.50, 1/4 chicken is $6, hamburgers and hot dogs are $5.

Lansing Lugnuts Memorial Day Barbecue
As part of their game against the Lake County Captains, the Lansing Lugnuts will be hosting a Memorial Day barbecue at Cooley Law School Stadium from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Lansing.
