OKEMOS, Mich. — Ingham County is getting closer to tearing down a nostalgic bridge in Okemos.
The Okemos Road bridge, which runs over the Red Cedar River in Meridian Township, needs to be replaced.
The county says it can no longer handle heavy traffic.
They have hired a firm to do an environmental impact study.
The next step is a public meeting to let people know what's going on.
That will be held on April 25 at the township board room from 4 - 8 pm.
