SOLON TWP., Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff's Department said on Wednesday that the medical examiner has ruled the deaths of a woman and three daughters a murder-suicide.
Authorities say that Aubrianne Moore, 28, used a bolt-action hunting-style rifle to shoot her daughters, according to a WOOD-TV report.
Authorities say she shot them in a wooded area in Solon Township on Monday and then put her daughters in her vehicle and drove to her boyfriend's property, where she killed herself outside of the vehicle.
Moore had a history of mental illness, spending time in a mental health hospital as recently as late last year, according to WOOD-TV.
She agreed to be hospitalized near Grand Rapids but it isn't clear how long she stayed or whether she continued treatment after her release.
A doctor said Moore had experienced hallucinations and paranoia, according to the report.
Her daughters were Alaina Rau, 2; Cassidy Rodery, 2; and Kyrie Rodery, 8.
