The Detroit Pistons minor league basketball payer who died days after collapsing during a game, was the victim of a "sudden cardiac death."

The Kent County medical examiner tells WOOD-TV that she conducted an autopsy on Zeke Upshaw's body Tuesday and determined that his death was the result of cardiac failure.

Upshaw collapsed Saturday night while playing during a game for Grand Rapids Drive, a NBA G-League team. He was rushed the hospital where he died Monday morning.

Upshaw's funeral is set to take place this Saturday in the Chicago area.
