Friday in Lansing, hundreds of Michigan Education Association members marched from the Lansing Center to the state Capitol.
The MEA members were joined by their candidate for Governor, Gretchen Whitmer.
The group's goal was to deliver more than 17,000 petition signatures that oppose legislation allowing guns in schools.
Friday's march is part of the National Day of Action to Prevent Gun Violence in Schools.
After the signatures are delivered, they walked back to the Lansing Center.
